Starting on December 20, 2025 at 06:24 UTC, Copilot was unable to record calls made on Microsoft Teams. Calls themselves were unaffected, but recordings were not captured or stored. A Microsoft Teams UI update introduced a regression that broke Copilot’s recording integration. Additionally, an issue was found where Copilot could not reliably detect when a call ended.
On December 23, 2025 at 22:21 UTC, we deployed a fix restoring Teams call recording and added a default timeout to ensure recordings end correctly. After monitoring our systems to make sure everything was operational, the incident was resolved on December 24, 2025 at 9:30 UTC.
For the impacted customers, calls scheduled during this period were not recorded.
